Aluminium Garden Table
Garden parasol – steel or aluminium?
Looking to buy a parasol to go over a for the summer… choice seems to be aluminium or steel, not much difference in price.
Can anyone advise which is best? (Am thinking aluminium would be lighter and maybe less likely to rust but is it strong/heavy enough in the wind?)
And a bonus question – what size, 2m, 3m or somewhere in between? It’s going over a table that’s approx 1.3m.
Thanks C J. Am definitely leaning towards aluminium as don’t want to be buying another in a couple of years. Not sure about wood, isn’t this more likely to rot and/or snap?
If your in a damp area with lots of rain aluminum. If a dry area without much rain steel. A strong wind will trash both about equally, but the steel has more of a chance of surviving. 2m or a little smaller for a 1.3m table.
